Multiplayer
This new build includes multiplayer made with a library called UrsinaNetworking
It works by creating a server using an IP address or localhost which clients can join. When a client joins, a placeholder car is created. The client sends a message back to the server containing the car's position, rotation and texture. The placeholder car's position, rotation and texture then updates to the client's one every time a key is pressed.
To play Multiplayer
- Download Rally and double click the server executable. (On Linux, navigate to the folder in Terminal and type ./server)
- Enter the IP address you want the server to run on. (Use 'localhost' for localhost)
- Open the Rally executable and replace 'localhost' with the IP of the server.
- Click JOIN.
- For others to join, they just need to follow steps 3 and 4.
